Thankful at all times

I join Ann Voskamp’s Multitude on Mondays community in being thankful today for

#286 family time with second son and his three active, inquisitive, “lets-go-do-it” children.

#286 second son getting all the winterization “worries” of my DH done while I entertained the children

#287 flood relief supplies that keep rolling in to the Red Cross trailer even though it has been a week and a half since the flood.

#288 revelation during my walk with my middle dog, Mickey, this morning of ways to make work more tolerable.

#289 lunch with a fellow nurse at a nice, new restaurant that we both love.

#290 nature that surprises me at every turnfor its raw beauty in the midst of survival and the pure pleasure it brings those who appreciate its intricacies.

#291 for a son who simply replies to the question, “Where is your wife today?” that motherhood is the hardest job he knows and that he has taken the kids for the weekend to give her a break!

I could go on and on, but I must get ready to go to work now. I have this memory verse from Colossians 3:23, 24

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will reveive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

In His amazing grace,

Dawn

  1. Dear Dawn
Your grandchildren’s personalities really show in that first picture . . . love it. Glad to hear you are getting insight about your work situation. Sounds like a wise man, that son of yours. Hope your day is blessed in unexpected ways,
    Andrea Dawn
